Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) April 8, 2010
ThePort Network today announced the release of a new product called Blerts at the annual meeting of the NonProfit Technology Network (NTEN). The new product was unveiled at NTENs trademark Science Fair that showcases the newest technology available for non-profit organizations.
The Blerts product allows any individual or organization to automate the collection of content from the social web and then comment on selected content before re-distributing through Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Digg and customized RSS feeds that can be placed on any website. All content distributed by Blerts includes unique content and can be trackedmaking it an ideal tool to drive traffic to websites and for use in search engine marketing (SEM).
The new product is a direct answer to the issue of time required to find and vet quality content to distribute back to the constituency or customer base served. One of the biggest services that the organizations that we support provide to their constituents is in the selection of quality content, stated Bob Cramer, Chairman and CEO. Constituents rely on the organization to comb through content relevant to their industry, cause or profession and give them just what they need to know. Organizations have long provided this time-saving type of content concierge service through news clippings, publication editors and educational directors. However, while the amount of content has grown, organizational staff has not. Blerts solves this problem.
The big fear that traditional organizations have with social media is that they will no longer be relevant now that anyone can form their own group through public social networking sites such as Facebook and LinkedIn, stated Suzanne Carawan, Vice President of Marketing and Strategy. Blerts allows organizations to remain the trusted source for quality content while simultaneously alleviating the workload of staff. We firmly believe that Blerts will aid in increasing the importance of constituent-based organizations.
The new product is sold as a subscription through a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model and is now generally available for sale at http://www.blerts.com.
